Photography
My interest in photography goes back many years when a girlfriend was a little bit pissed about something and told me to go take a picture of the wind. Well, a storm picked up and all of a sudden there was plenty of opportunities. I was hooked.
At one time I developed black & whites in the darkroom. And currently shooting 100% digital and really like what can be done with Photoshop, but I prefer shooting raw and displaying raw, without any tweaks or hacks (but that could change at some time in the future).
I work in the travel industry so sometimes when I travel for business I visiting many locations in a short time period and have very little time for finding the right shot and setup, so I have learned very quickly what to capture where to look and to take every opportunity to find a great shot that will draw the viewer in and tell a story.
I currently finished taking the first in a series of Miksong Photography course. Miksong means good eye in Tibetan, for me, the course was about seeing or finding that right shot and taking it before I could analyze the subject, find the right angle or lighting, just capture what the eye sees.
