Best Travel Shoes for lots of Walking or Hiking

May 16, 2017 by Jack Kennard Leave a Comment

Best travel walking shoes

These hiking shoes are no longer availible. If there is one thing we all do while traveling, it’s a lot of walking or hiking. If we´re going to experience new cities, walk through museums or even walk off the huge meal from last night, we can expect to do more walking than we normally do at home. Qualities of a good pair of travel shoes:
  • Good solid sole and tread that won’t slip if the roads are wet.
  • A shoe that will breath well (Gore -Tex), stay cool and dry fast
  • The back of the shoe surrounding the heel should be stiff and protective.
My Favorite I like New Balance, they´re well made and fit my feet snug and tight. It did take a couple weeks to work them in. The last thing you want while traveling is to be laid up with sprained ankle or even a minor injury when you’re on a hiking vacation. Breaking In It’s a good idea to start getting into your travel shape several months before your trip and that may include breaking in a new pair of walking shoes. Don´t wait until you´re overseas before you start working in a new pair of shoes, your feet will never forgive you. Give your new shoes and feet at least 3 weeks (6 weeks would be better) to get used to each other and who knows, you may want to find a new pair of travel shoes if they don´t get along.

New hiking walking travel shoes

best walking travel shoes I’m sorry, I’ll miss these shoes, it looks these shoes are no longer available, but I do have my eye on 2 others New Balance walking & hiking shoes that I’ll talk about as soon as I get a chance to work them in.
